Safety Requirements - Scaffold; 'a high risk product'

Karglen has many years experience of supplying scaffolding services to various types of client, from large, well known national companies, local companies and the general public. Each type of client has a different need and requirement and our company and all of its staff take their responsibilities for supplying these services extremely seriously.We specialise in the erection, hire and dismantle of traditional tube and fitting scaffolding

We want all of our customers to feel confident in using Karglen, from the point of first contact to the end of our works. We endeavour to understand their requirements, offer a solution, usually after a site visit or having viewed your supplied drawings and specification. We then tender our price, this is done in written form, supplying a breakdown where required and showing optional variations or possible extras that may, or may not, be required.

Upon the placement of an order we would then confirm start dates, supply information as required or requested which would include (as relevant) our insurance details, method statements, risk assessment and signed health and safety policy. Scaffolds when erected would have handover paperwork/scafftag as confirmed in any written estimate. We can also offer a weekly checking service with written report for customers who request this as an add on service.

Our Staff - Expertise & Confidence

Karglen is a CITB registered company, we assess all staff internally and use experienced scaffolders when offering our services. External training makes use of our CITB registration and all staff hold either a CISRS or CSCS card. We do not sub contract our services and all scaffolds are erected by our directly employed labour. We use this ethos to ensure that the services we supply are carried out with the full consideration for the health & safety of its employee's, all other trades and members of the public.

Equipment is serviced at our own premises and this is undertaken by specialist staff. Our premises are open Monday to Friday for both equipment hire and sales and a telephone call prior to visiting will help ensure the right staff and stock is available before you arrive.
